Lung cancer can run in the family

The station's Web news site uses a story from HealthDay News about a new study that links lung cancer to heredity. Co-directed by a Wayne State University researcher, the study found that people with a parent or sibling who had lung cancer had a 95 percent higher risk of developing the disease themselves. The WSU researcher cited is Ann Schwartz of the School of Medicine and Karmanos Cancer Institute.
